about

Like innumerable children with imaginations sparked by Sci Fi films, Music producer and Rapper NevahDless grew up watching cartoons featuring the adventures of robots, shows like the Transformers and movies like Short Circuit would fire the imagination and he too dreamt of building his own Robot one day.

Unlike most of the others, however, "Neva" has realized his childhood dream later in life by successfully constructing a life-sized robot from parts he acquired at his IT job working at Realm-Z Studios. www.realm-z.com

The fruit of his labors of the last year, and a budget of more than $50,000, is a humanoid robot prototype he calls Glass Robot, modeled after himself with a slight Ego it’s mission is to Truncate Dystopian sounds and beam them into a Mythical Music Laser Ray. Neva says he will use this weapon of Mass Music to Destroy EMC or Evil Music Corp. Glass Robot responds to a set of programed verbal commands spoken into a microphone and utilizes a crystal touch screen and the latest sound warp technology..

"I figured I should just do it, the timing is right to achieve my dream. If I realize my dream, I will have no regrets in life," said Neva, who had to learn about fields completely new to science and music before he could build the complex gadget.

Besides simple movements of 4/4 Time and Looping, chord building and Improvisation, Glass Robot, which has a Titanium Helmet and liquid cooling, and a “Heads Up Display with GUI borrowed from programmers at Realm-Z, it can create detailed music expressions with sonic fidelity. Fighting for Hip Hop, Downtempo, Glitch Hop, Future Bass & so much more…

Neva’s journey of creation was a lonely one, however. He said he did not know of anyone else in Central Florida who builds humanoid robots and few in the city understood his ambition.

"During this process, a lot of people would say things like, 'have you lost your mind? That’s too much music. Do you even know what you’re doing? It's really hard, I ignored the naysayers and used trial and error. "When you look at everything together, it was really difficult," said Neva, who had to master unfamiliar sounds from electro to down-tempo jazz to drum and bass along the way, besides learning how to craft graphics for Glass Robot's external skin and digitally paint its outer components.

Neva, who believes the importance of Glass Robot will only grow, hopes an investor will buy his prototype, giving him the capital to build an army of Glass Robots, and wants to write a book about his experience, to help other enthusiasts entitled: The Rise of Glass Robots Music and Disruption of Evil Music Corp.
